Using Shazam on Android devices

Use Shazam to identify music you hear on the radio, in stores, on your device (with or without headphones), or anywhere else you hear recorded music.

Find your previous Shazams in your Library, where you can preview songs to discover new music. Also create a Shazam account to save all your Shazams in case your device ever goes down.

Identify music with Shazam
To identify music with Shazam:

Open the Shazam app on your device, then tap the Shazam button .
Touch and hold the Shazam app in the app drawer, then tap Shazam Now.
Songs identified by Shazam are stored in your Shazam Library.

After identifying a song, you can connect to Apple Music and other music services to listen to your Shazams.

If you don’t have an internet connection, the app still creates a unique digital fingerprint to match against the Shazam database the next time the device is connected to the internet. If one can’t be identified, the song will disappear from the pending Shazam.

Use Auto Shazam

To have Shazam automatically identify songs playing around you, turn on Auto Shazam:

Touch and hold the Shazam app in the app drawer, then tap Auto Shazam.
Open the Shazam app on your device, then touch and hold the Shazam button .
When Auto Shazam is turned on, Shazam will match the song you hear to the song in the Shazam database even if you switch to another app. Shazam never saves the songs it listens to.

Next, you can find Shazams identified by Auto Shazam in your Library, grouped by date.

To turn off Auto Shazam, tap the Shazam button.

Use Notifications to identify music with swipes and taps
When you open another app, you can access Shazam in the notification bar to identify music:

Swipe down to see Shazam in the notification bar.
Tap Shazam to start identifying music.
To dismiss notifications, open Library in the Shazam app, tap the Settings button , then turn off “Shazam from notification bar” (Shazam from notification bar).
Use the Shazam Pop-Up to identify music
Open the Shazam app, swipe to Library, then tap the Settings button .
Turn on “Shazam from Pop-Up”, tap Go To Settings, tap Shazam, then turn on “Allow display over other apps”.
When you open another app, tap the Pop-Up Shazam button to identify the music playing in that app.
To remove the floating meus precos button, drag it to the X mark at the bottom of the screen.
To make the Shazam Pop-Up appear on the screen again, swipe down from the top of the screen, then tap the notification. If you didn’t have “Shazam from notification bar” turned on, open the Shazam app and use Shazam to identify a song. While Shazam is identifying a song, set Shazam to the background. You’ll see the Pop-up button reappear on the screen .
