Q:

Django with Flask

I want to make a blog website that uses Django and Flask. In Django, I need to make a post edit page, while in Flask I need to make a static homepage.
To change the template for the page I need to change it in the POSTS_MODELS.PY file and the TEMPLATES.PY file, right?
Another question, instead of making a homepage, can I make a blog with static pages?

A:

As for your first question, if you want to use a different template to display posts than the one that is used to create the posts, I would recommend placing them in separate app.
Somewhere in your settings.py, you may have something like:
APP_DIRS = (
os.path.join(BASE_DIR, “app1”),
os.path.join(BASE_DIR, “app2”),
)

Where app1 is the directory in your app_dirs tuple where you have your template for displaying posts, and app2 is the directory where your homepage template is.
For your second question, you would use a PageModel to create the static homepage for your blog. Here’s an example implementation of a PageModel:
class StaticPage(PageModel):

category = models.ForeignKey(“Category”)
title = models.CharField()
slug = models.SlugField()

def publish(self):
if self.request.method == ‘POST’:
form = NotificationForm(self.request.POST, instance=self.instance)
if form.is_valid():
form.save()
self.reload_page()
else:
form = NotificationForm(instance=self.instance)
return render_to_response(‘blog/home.html’, {
‘form’:
