Keymacro is an easy to use keyboard shortcut utility for Windows that helps you manage and configure keyboard shortcuts on your PC. It helps users optimize your computer keyboard’s shortcuts, so you don’t need to right-click on a shortcut to modify it.
Keymacro works the same way as AutoHotkey. You first enter the first letter of the shortcut and the rest of the text you want to assign to it. Then you type the desired shortcut or simply press Enter. You may then decide to modify the keyboard shortcut or click on the Set Next Action button to assign the given shortcut.
Keymacro comes with several predefined keyboard shortcuts that help you to navigate through your Windows operating system and Windows apps. You can also add your own keyboard shortcuts.
You can assign keys to run several commands by combining them with keymacro’s built-in commands. For example, you can run Chrome with Alt+F7, open a PowerShell terminal with Alt+F12, search the Google home page with Alt+F3, open a file with Alt+F9 and perform an AutoHotkey macro with Alt+F4.
KEYMACRO Configure and modify the keyboard shortcuts
Keymacro shows a pop-up menu at the top left corner of the main window. It lets you choose between 3 additional options:
Settings – You can access the app’s configuration parameters.
Help – You can access keymacro’s help page.
History – Shows the keyboard shortcuts used and the total number of keyboard shortcuts you have configured.
