Hematite’s long-lasting streaks and easy-to-apply color can be used by itself, over painted acrylics or, if mixed with the right color, under acrylics.

Hematite’s natural hue and lack of lightfastness are ideal for applications such as decals, paintings and glazing, and are popular among artists and others who work with mixed media.

Artists use Hematite for its color and ease of application, especially on canvas, wood and other surfaces that are prone to scratching.

Gravure is an ancient process dating back to the 1400s. The technique has been rediscovered, refined and used by many artists to achieve unique results. A piece of Gravure-printed paper was selected for this project, cut into 18″ x 24″ pieces and signed by the artist using masking tape.

A black acrylic was then painted over the paper. I used a mister to apply my acrylics, and this technique proved to be extremely easy. The artist can manipulate the paper into the desired image, and the acrylics remain in place, retaining the image in its original form.

Here are some of the finished images. Notice the beautiful depth and richness of each image.

Imagine that you are a proud papa! You can still enjoy your image on canvas even after your little one is old enough to “help” paint it for you.

He was very proud when he was finished. Just like his father.

This print was done with Carbon Print Film. The artist cut out the image and pasted it to a sheet of Carbon Print Film. The Carbon Print Film was then burned in a pan. Each image was burned to a different depth, so the image could be seen through the Carbon Print Film.

After the Carbon Print Film is burned, it is peeled off the paper backing and transferred to a canvas. The Carbon Print Film shows through, but remains in place. The canvas is then trimmed and ready to be framed.

In the previous post, I showed how I apply a print using a stencil. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how I transfer the image by using masking tape.

The key to this technique is to print your image in the same colors that eea19f52d2

Arduino Smart Control is a simple, intuitive and powerful Arduino development tool that provides a simple way to communicate, or more appropriately to manage, your Arduino Nano via the serial. This set of features makes it a powerful and versatile tool that can be used in a variety of projects, including school projects that involve electronics, robotics and embedded systems.

Arduino Smart Control Features:

The program can be used to switch between Monostable and Bistable modes

You can save readings in the memory so that you can compare them with other readings you take in the near future

For example, you can record the temperature in the 0 to 100°C range

It is also possible to measure humidity and light

Other functions include the ability to run the board in monostable, bistable or relay mode

You can set the On-Timer time to change the mode between On/Off

There is the ability to change the I/O pin used

In addition, the code contains comprehensive help on the program

The last thing to mention is that it is highly compatible with Arduino Nano

A set of simple, but powerful, features make Arduino Smart Control a versatile tool that you can use in a variety of projects, including school projects that involve electronics, robotics and embedded systems. If you are using an Arduino Nano, you will be delighted to know that the program can be used to measure the temperature, humidity and light as well as switch the board between on/off and monostable/bistable mode.

To use the tool, start by installing the Arduino IDE, which is available for free on the official website. After you have done this, download the program from this link. It is advisable to save the file to your computer, preferably in the main folder where you have installed the Arduino IDE. As a last step, open the Arduino IDE and, once you have selected Tools > Board, choose Arduino Nano and click OK to set it as your board of choice.

After these things, you will have to open Arduino Smart Control, which will open a menu to start the program. In the next step, choose “Programming Mode” and “Save Settings”, then click the “Arduino Nano” icon and select the file you have saved.
