Sarasota Man Who Warned of Cyberattack Is Now Seeking Asylum in Sweden
A Sarasota man has come forward to warn of an imminent “cyberattack” on the U.S. He claims to have evidence of a global cyber-warfare operation planned by the Russian government, in which governments, major corporations, and even private individuals are expected to be targeted.

Peter Joseph Goetzke, a.k.a. Peter Joseph “Hans-Peter” Goetke, a software engineer from Sarasota, has expressed an interest in helping avert a “cyberattack,” according to his website.
Goetke’s website, petergoetke.com, claims that since he first became aware of the existence of a large-scale cyberattack, he has collected a significant amount of evidence detailing the alleged operation.
“I’ve witnessed it first hand,” he writes. “I have evidence of it, but I can’t share it here for obvious reasons. The ramifications are far reaching.”
