Good method to store and edit a list of errors

I’m currently using a datatable for this, as I have an existing list of errors which I then add to the DataTable and then in my aspx code I loop through the errors and remove the rows with certain values.
My problem is that if a row is found to have an error, I then have to lookup the correct one and replace it with another row in the datatable. The problem here is that the datatable row’s rowid is assigned when the datatable is first created and then only updated when a row is removed.
Is there an obvious way of doing this?

A:

I store the errors in a text file with each line containing the fields I want to validate. The format is made up of the field name and the error code.
Field1 : Error 1
Field2 : Error 2
..
Field10 : Error 2

In my aspx page I then loop through the lines of this text file and only allow the valid ones to be added to the table.
